Progress is well underway on site at Minerva House, our major retrofit project with GPE, that will set a new standard for sustainable construction, in its fantastic location on the banks of the River Thames.

GPE continues to innovate its approach to sustainability and are making use of the site's location adjacent to the river. The site is being serviced through the use of river barges, removing significant traffic and vehicle movements from the local road network, reducing emissions and easing congestion - the first private commercial development in central London to do so, according to GPS Marine.

Morrisroe are nearing completion of the deconstruction phase. Once complete, Minerva House will deliver 143,100 sq ft of new best-in-class workspace, making the most of its incredible riverfront location. The project will retain and reuse over 70% of the existing structure, fully aligning with GPE’s Roadmap to Net Zero and Opera's commitment to sustainable construction; with a strong wider collaboration between all partners embracing the circular economy.

A fantastic team comprising GPE, Morrisroe, Multiplex, JRA, BAA, Hoare Lea, HTS and G&T among many others, are working fantastically well together, helping to set a new benchmark for sustainable commercial development in central London.
