Wembley Park

In the early 20th century, Sir Edward Watkin began building a 358 metre-high tower at Wembley Park, hoping to attract day-trippers from London to ‘Metroland’ on the recently extended Metropolitan Line. Although the tower was never completed, Wembley Park has been a leisure destination ever since. Over the past decade, the 85acre site has been comprehensively redeveloped by investor-developer Quintain, who have added significant retail and residential elements to the existing mix of uses.

London Designer Outlet, the capital’s only fashion & lifestyle outlet centre has been operating at Wembley Park for four years and is ranked as the UK’s fastest growing outlet centre.  Wembley Park will see a further 180,000sqft of retail space added in nine new buildings across 42 units over the coming few years.

Integrated within Quintain’s business and their development team, Opera are retained to help define and deliver the retail strategy, advise on leasing and placemaking, establish necessary systems and processes, manage a series of critical meanwhile projects and liaise with over 40 incoming retail tenants.
