60 Lombard Street

This building, the Grade II-listed former headquarters of the Trustee Savings Bank, sits on Lombard Street, a City of London thoroughfare with a centuries-old connection to the financial industries and, from 1691, site of Lloyd’s Coffee House. The site adjoins the Grade I-listed Wren church of St Edmund, King and Martyr. The 1980s steel-framed office building has undergone a significant refurbishment to add an extra upper storey, bring natural light into the lower ground floor and alter the arrangement of the cores.

Opera, in collaboration with architects BuckleyGrayYeoman and the client, an institutional investment management business, provided project management and feasibility analysis for the project.
